Why do people run for the local elections ?

They want to use it to win popularity and increase their party’s standing in power.

OR

They want to become a dedicated public servant determined to make their community a better place. This is your opportunity to say No to the government and the same old tired replacement parties. Vote Independent and you will be declaring your support for the dedicated public servants among us

 

I want our communitty to be a safer place for our elderly

My own mother has been a pensioner for the last 27 years so this is particularly close to my heart. I want a safer community where the elderly are not just respected but cared for as well.

I want YOUR voice to be heard on the county council

I am tired of the same old "thank you for your contact letters" back from the Council. The Council are there for us and I want to ensure that our voices are heard. There is no room for dismissing the people that really matter. As part of the Council I want to make you matter.

I want Value for Our Money

To me, we need to ensure that the money spent on Council charges including waste charges is accounted for and there needs to be transparency in the way this money is invested.

I want intelligent planning for the future

The provision of water supplies, improvement of childcare and children's facilities as well as a better link with voluntary organisatipons are all matters which must be brought into the mix as we move forward as a community together. I want a clear plan which we can all follow so our community can be as great as I believe it can be.
